The sweetest moment ever. I keep replaying it my head, and I didn't want it to end. You were getting fussy as it neared bedtime last night. You were bathed and fed, and looking adorable in your pale pink jammies with a white kitty face on the front. I plopped you down on our bed and went in for a kiss to your chubby little, tiny cheek. I then moved to your other cheek, and back to the first. I kissed your chin, and you chucked quietly. When you chuckle, your whole body moves up and down. I kissed your lips. This whole time your lips were in an open smile. But as I kept kissing your cheeks, your eyes closed, and your smile went to a closed-mouth smile, but such a sweet, happy one. I kept kissing you and you kept smiling with your eyes closed. You were on the verge of falling asleep, and you have never fallen asleep without being rocked or laid down in your crib.
It is a moment in time that I want to keep as a memory. I loved it. I loved the kisses and I loved the way you relaxed and let mommy kiss you. I love how you smiled the whole time. You were as happy and content as I think you can ever be...right there, getting my kisses. I love you, baby.
