Last year on Thanksgiving we were announcing to our families that we were expecting a baby, and this year we celebrated as a family of five.
Keane and I hosted my dad's side of the family's dinner again this year. We still make all the foods that Grandma used to make, and I love that. And we still do a White Elephant Gift exchange and play some games. The gifts are getting a little "nicer" than I remember them being when I was younger, so there is less gift stealing, but it is a lot of fun.
We went around the table and said what we were thankful for. That was probably my favorite part. It was very heart-felt and meaningful.
I am so thankful for family, for new life, for being able to celebrate together, for tradition, and the good food our family makes year after year.
Farrah enjoyed her very first Thanksgiving. I think she will enjoy her second even more because she'll be able to participate in eating the delicious food!
We ended the night by playing King in the Corner with the kids.
