Kylie at 8

Kylie turned 8 years old on Sunday.
A little about Kylie at age 8:

She is tall (I'll get the exact height since we measured her on her birthday).  She no longer has to legally ride in her booster seat.  She hardly ever, if ever, finishes her drink.  She enjoys sports and reading.  She is clever and always has something to say.  Her teacher is Ms. Metcalf.  She was in a dance/tumbling class but quit that one to join a local dance class so she could be with her friends.  She can do cartwheels and round-offs.  She rocked some serious socks off at basketball and will play softball again next summer.

We had a bond fire for Kylie's birthday (which was a win-win because the kids had fun and we had a brush pile that needed to be burned), and homemade pizzas on a different night for her birthday supper.  She got an updated bedroom for her birthday which included a desk, rearranged furniture, and wall decor.  She got a karaoke machine along with fingernail polish, a shirt, two rings, horse movies, and a make-up set from her friend, Caitlyn.  The present she was the most excited for was from Kaden and was an As-Seen-On-TV Ice Cream Maker - Ice Cream Magic.

My mom made Kylie some adorable birthday cookies!  She also got her a Taylor Swift book and some stick-on nails.

We took turns saying what we are the most thankful for in Kylie...

Kaden - She makes me laugh when I am sad.

Keane - Everything, all the way from her smile and her dimples to her toes, her fun personality, and the way she always makes me laugh, too.

Kristi - The girl time that I get with her.  How we talk about silly things and about boys together, and that when it's just me and her, it's a very special thing that I would really miss out on if I didn't have her in my life.
