Due to a rainy weekend, Kylie and I decided to rent some movies and buy some snacks and popcorn for a family movie night. I think my motherly instincts were in play because as we were coming home from the store, I asked Kylie to check in the bag to make sure we had grabbed everything. We had both movies, snacks for Kylie, Kaden, and Keane, but nothing for me. I tried to remember if I had paid for mine, and then I realized that I never got to the point of deciding what I wanted before we checked out and left. I almost went on home but then decided to turn around and buy myself some chocolate.
The kids talked us into watching some of their movie with them. Kylie rented Brave, which they say they haven't seen, but Kaden seemed to know quite a bit about it. From what we saw, it was a cute show. We then moved their movie to Kaden's room, and started to watch ours, Lincoln. We both fell asleep, however, and never finished it before having to return it.
The kids asked if they could have some chocolate milk. With little help, they both poured some milk and chocolate to satisfy their thirst. I then noticed Kylie got out another cup and I asked her what she was doing with it, and she looked and smiled at me and said, "I'm making you some." I do love some chocolate milk, and it made it all the better that she made it herself, just for me.
We don't cry over spilled milk at our house.
