Augusta - Almost Two

Augusta is the coolest kid on the block. She’s so easy-going and chill. She’s funny and can stand up for herself. She’s independent and will scoot or carry a stool where she needs to reach something high and hardly asks for help. She loves feeding the cats and playing and running around the living room until she’s hot and sweaty. The number of words she’s saying is starting to increase. She doesn’t pronounce any of the ends of her words though: hu (hug), ju (juice), wi (wipe) but now she calls it “wipey.”  She calls Farrah “Parrah” and she refers to herself as “Baby,” always.  She peed on the potty once before bath time! I’m hopeful and positive she’ll be easy to potty-train when we decide we’re ready.

She still sucks her thumb, when she’s sad or upset or tired, and always when she’s falling asleep. She has her two blankies she loves, always!! They calm her down and keep her feeling safe. She sleeps pretty well but usually comes to our bed sometime throughout the night. Oh, and she still loves all food! You simply cannot eat anything near her without her dropping what’s she’s doing and run over to you asking for a “bite?” She has never once cried or acted sad when I took her and dropped her off at daycare. I hand her to Mrs. Allie each morning and she’s perfect with the transition and ready to sit down for breakfast.
