Thankful for Holidays

Augusta's First Thanksgiving was a great one.  We hosted the McCoy Family Thanksgiving another year.  This was a smaller year since every other year Kacie, Kara, Kaden and Kylie come.  This year Jan and Calvin and Laura weren't able to come either.

Those in attendance were:
Keane, myself, Farrah, Augusta
Dad, Mom, Kollin
Kimberly, McCoy
Aunt Kathy, Uncle Randy
Uncle Dale
Kelsey, Keith, Bronx
Kourtney, Andrew, Aliciia

We had all our regular foods such as smoked turkey, ham, oyster stuffing, dressing, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, broccoli cauliflower salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, rolls, noodles, pies (pecan and pumpkin) and chocolate sheet cake.

We had our White Elephant Gift exchange and a lot of the gifts are nice ones, with a few exceptions.  Dad gave "recycled" baby wipes, Kimberly gave flavored Shatto milk, I gave a homemade heart-shaped Christmas ornament with Farrah and Augusta's handprints, Keane gave Kaden's old baseball ceiling fan, Kelsey gave a Foster/Adoption kit, Keith gave a homemade marijuana test and some donuts...those are some that I can recall at the moment.

We decided for the first time this year to have the littles draw names and that was a lot of fun!  Farrah got a Barbie and outfit from Bronx, Augusta got bibs, a teething ring, and glow-in-the-dark ceiling stars from Aliciia, Farrah gave McCoy a spy outfit kit, Augusta got Aliciia a Melissa & Doug wooden kitchen food set, and McCoy gave Bronx an alphabet learning board.

That evening after everyone but my immediate family left, we played a couple hours of What Do You Meme and enjoyed some spiked eggnog!

Mom and her sisters decided to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the first time this year and that was really neat!
