This last weekend we kept busy (as always). After work on Friday, Kaden's undefeated ball team had a swimming party. The public swimming pool we had planned on going to happened to close earlier that day without notice, so we had to improvise and change to a different venue that had an exceptionally nice indoor swimming facility. It seems I only got a photo of Kylie and her bestie.
On Saturday, we took a trip to Bass Pro Shop. Kaden wanted to use his savings, and the money he earned this summer helping at home and on the farm, for a brand new gun. He decided he wanted a rifle, and a camo one at that.

He found the perfect one -- a semi-automatic Ruger 10/22 with a stainless steel barrel.
On Sunday, we got it sighted in and he was ready to put it to use. Keane and Kaden went squirrel hunting. They saw one squirrel, Kaden took one shot, and they came home with one squirrel.
On Saturday night, some friends of ours had a party with a caterer and the Madd Hoss Jackson band. The kids stayed the night with my parents and brother, and pretended not to have a good time (although I heard they had a blast). My parents even took them out for breakfast in the a.m.
All the while, we rode a bus to the party and enjoyed some good food, music, and fellowship.
